AUDITION TICKETS
$5 entry to watch the auditions (children under 12 FREE). Tickets available at the door.
ARRIVAL
Entrants and Accompanists are requested to arrive at least 30 mins before their audition time.
You may leave once your audition has finished. Please be respectful of other performers as you move about the venue.
REGISTRATION
All entrants must report to the registration area on arrival.
Additional Media Release Forms etc will be available at the registration area.
COSTUMES & PROPS
Entrants usually perform in full costume during the auditions and finals.
Simple props may be used to enhance your performance. Please speak to the stage manager re any assistance needed with props. Entrants should provide all props including chairs - ones in the venue may not be suitable. Keep in mind the short turn around between audition heats.
MICS
Headset mics are to be used by all performers who are singing/talking. Please report to the stage manager to receive your mic in plenty of time. If you are doing any physical activity (like cartwheels) please advise the stage manager as your mic may need extra securing.
If you are using a BACKING CD please hand it in when registering - make sure the track number is clearly identified (eg write it on a piece of tape and stick it on the cover). Please make sure all CDs are in a protective case - do not place stickers/tape directly onto CD. It is wise to have a spare CD on you.
STAGE
Performers have the options of 2 areas to perform in. The stage is quite small and mainly suited to solos and duets that do not require a lot of space. A larger stage area will be taped out on the floor; this area will be similar in size to the stage at the venue for the Finals. Both areas are suitable for tap.
